I chose to go to Webquest.org for information on Webquests. I loved this website because it was so easy to navagate when it came to learning about webquests and viewing the webquests. I had no idea what a webquest was, so this site was a great starting point for me. I didn't realize webquests were so popular, this is the first time I've had any experience with them.
The webquest I chose to view was one for fifth graders on snowflakes. I thought this would be a fun one to look at since winter is here, and it might give me some good ideas as well. This webquest is made in order for students to learn more abot snowflakes. The main tasks are to learn how they are made, the shape, and who they are important to, and the students would get to examine a snowflake up close. There is then information presented on the snowflake under "process", as well as links for students to visit as well as a worksheet for students to use when examinnig snow flakes.
I love the teacher pages on these webquests! They are so useful and fun to look through as well. There is so many great lesson plan ideas to find by just visiting this website! The webquests that I found would be great for any teacher to use. The grade levels and content areas are readily available when you search for them. There are thousands of lessons to be found, all of which any classroom would benefit from.
